The vote was carried with the majority vote of the PP councillors, and the votes against the motion of both the PSOE and the IU Verdes.
Once having gathered all the required informes and reports in order to grant definitive approval, a process which began in 2010, the council have now concluded all the necessary bureaucratic stages to be able to grant full planning permission and enable construction of the park to commence shortly.
Following the approval granted today, the formal decision will be published in the BORM ( the official regional bulletin) and be put on public display for a period of one month.
Once this final legal tramitation has been legally concluded, Premursa will be in a legal position to commence construction works.
At the same time the pleno approved modification number 1 of the Plan Especial de Infraestructuras Comunes de los Desarrollos Turísticos-Residenciales del Sur del Municipio de Alhama de Murcia, a plan which establishes the procedures to grant the installations and associated developments of the park the infrastructures necessary to provide utilities and services, ie water supply, water processing, sewage, electricity supply etc.
Finally, the agreement with El Casón de Carrascoy S.L. was also approved regarding granting of lands for environmental improvement in order to satisfy environmental requirements and ensure that the project meets with environmental demands, the lands in question being those which were purchased by Premursa and which form part of the area projected for the park.
Jesús Samper, President of Premursa, has said that he will issue a press statement on Friday 10th about the current status of plans for construction of the Paramount themed park and Lifestyle Center.
